Jewelry & Adornment > Buckles

Over the years, I found myself drawn to buckles as both a functional item and as an item of adornment. Often viewed as either a simple mechanism to latch together two or more ends of something, buckles can carry a variety of messages. They tell stories with how they are created and presented, but they also embody a time-line of the wearer. In fact, my favorite buckles are the ones that reveal significant wear by the user. Scratches, scrapes and dents all speak to where the person has been, and what they have done.
